Greetings from the Village of Palos Park!

Autumn In The Park Festival 2012 was a tremendous success attracting festival goers from all over the region. We were thrilled at the number of people who attended and the positive response we received to this wonderful fall event. By popular demand we are again expanding this event to include musical entertainment, food and spirits on Friday evening September 20, in addition to a full-day of events on Saturday, September 21. There is something for everyone to enjoy at the 2013 Autumn In The Park Festival.

This year’s event will begin on Friday evening, September 20, 2013 at 5:00 pm with a picnic atmosphere and a variety of local food vendors, beer and spirits in anticipation of an evening of live musical entertainment and dancing for our guests. Our headliner band for the evening will be Hitsville Revue Band and Show playing the soulful music of Motown, R&B and Dance from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s until 10:00 pm.

On Saturday, September 21 the day will kick-off at 11:00 am with a parade beginning at 80th Avenue travelling down 123rd Street and arriving at our Village Green at 8901 W. 123rd Street where the festival day begins. The Village Green will be bustling with activity including a sanctioned chili cook-off; an amateur BBQ Rib competition; a Fine Arts Area that will include exhibits, artist and craft demonstrations and sales, wine tasting, teen activities and an expanded children’s area with petting zoo, games, pony rides, euro bungee, laser tag and hayrack rides. Stop by the “sports cave” and enjoy televised college football all day long during the festival too. We are also broadening our food and drink vendors and entertainment. The main tent and stage will have live musical entertainment throughout the day. Our headliner band will be Libido Funk Circus who takes the stage at 7:00 pm playing popular dance music until 10:00 pm. This popular first-class event will be widely advertised in the Southland Region and like last year attract people from many surrounding communities.
