Welcome
The Palos Park Building Department is ready to help you through the entire building process or simply answer a question about our codes. The department handles the following functions:

• Inspections
• Plan reviews
• Building Permits
• Zoning Reviews
• Contractors licensing
• Grading and Drainage Permits
• Bonds
• Code enforcement

The full time staff along with part-time inspectors and outside consultants handles the day-to-day requirements of the Department. The full time staff is as follows:

Important Notice: Before commencing any building activity, be sure to contact the Building Department at (708) 671-3730.  Many projects do not require permits and we can advise you accordingly. It is important that you use only contractors and tradesmen licensed in the Village. This will ensure that they possess the proper insurance and bond.  We are dedicated to serving our residents and we can only do so if we are aware of building and zoning matters as they occur.
