Demolition and Construction Code Approved by Village Council

On September 25th, 2000 the Palos Park Village Council approved the placing of the following sign on all construction sites in the Village. This sign is designed to alert both contractors and residents of the builder’s responsibility for protecting the environment. If you seen an infraction, you can report it to the authorities listed below.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OR HAND AND POWER TOOLS SATURDAY: 7 AM TO 5 PM OR SUNSET (WHICHEVER IS EARLIER)

SUNDAY AND HOLIDAYS: PROHIBITED

RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT

PROTECT TREES PUBLIC AND PRIVATE
DO NOT PARK OR DRIVE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT UNDER TREES
FOLLOW THE GRADING AND DRAINAGE ORDINANCE

KEEP PALOS PARK CLEAN

KEEP ROADWAYS FREE OF MUD
WASH DOWN VEHICLES BEFORE THEY LEAVE SITE
DO NOT LITTER - USE THE DUMPSTER
KEEP EROSION MEASURES IN PLACE
DO NOT RINSE CONCRETE TRUCKS ONTO ROADWAYS
OR INTO SEWERS OR DITCHES

OBEY TRAFFIC RULES

PARK IN DESIGNATED AREAS NOT ON PARKWAY
KEEP ROADWAYS OPEN FOR USE
DRIVE SAFELY - WATCH FOR CHILDREN

BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR

DO NOT TRESPASS
KEEP NOISE LEVELS DOWN
USE THE ON SITE PORTABLE TOILET
NO OPEN FIRES OR BURNING
