Register to Vote
If you are a U.S. Citizen and will be 18 years old on or before the next election, you can vote. You must register at least one month before the election. Registering to vote is easy. You will need 2 pieces of identification, one with your preprinted address, such as a utility bill, driver’s license or preprinted checkbook; the other should have your signature, such as a credit card. Photo IDs are not required.
- Last day to register to vote in the Consolidated Election on April 7, 2015 is March 10th. Offices up for election include Village of Palos Park Mayor, Clerk, and Commissioners and District 118 and District 230 School Boards.
Residents may register in the Kaptur Administrative Center Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm
To register to vote you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by Election Day and a resident of your precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day. You also must display two pieces of identification. Neither needs to be a photo ID, but one must include your current address. Acceptable forms include:
Illinois driver’s license
Illinois state ID
Employee or student ID
Social Security card
Mail postmarked to the applicant

Polling places will open at 6:00 a.m. on Election Day and remain open until 7:00 p.m. If your polling place does not open on time, please notify the Cook County Clerk’s Election department at 312-603-5169.
