The U.S.
Congress defines a Service Flag as an
official banner that can be displayed by the
family of service members in harm’s way.
The flag has a white field with a red
border, and a blue star representing each
family member in active duty. In a show of
national pride and unity, the Village of
Palos Park under the direction of Mayor
Mahoney is sponsoring a Blue Star Service
Banner Program.
The Village will
provide a Blue Star Service Banner to every
family in Palos Park who has a son/daughter
or spouse called to active duty in the armed
forces, including the National Guard and
Reserve. If you
would like to participate please contact the
Clerk’s Office at 708-671-3706 |
