Message from the Chief

Welcome to the Palos Park Police Department’s website. This site serves as a virtual portal to gain information, identify resources, and read news about the Palos Park Police Department. We offer a range of services and provide data that is open for you to view and use. We strive to include information for you that will not only serve to provide insight about who we are, but also about how we deliver police service to the community.
The Internet gives us a unique opportunity to share information and ideas directly with those we serve, so I thank you and I hope you enjoy the time you spend visiting our Web site.
The Palos Park Police Department is a professional law enforcement agency made up of dedicated professionals who work hard to improve the quality of life of our citizens and work aggressively to protect our community.  Palos Park PD is part of this community fabric, and we can only be truly effective when we merit the trust and support of those we serve.
The officers on patrol every day are the most visible part of this agency, but there are also civilian employees who are less visible and just as important.  Keeping Palos Park safe is a job we take very seriously and strive to provide the highest quality of service we can.
We recognize that our mission cannot be achieved without partnerships and commitments by residents, guests and visitors. I challenge each member of our community to always practice good personal safety habits, avoid careless practices and behavior, and become involved by promptly reporting any suspicious activity.
Community safety, security and the prevention of crime is a shared responsibility.  We are always seeking opportunities in which we can better serve, inform and protect this community. We firmly believe the best protection against crime is an aware, informed, and alert community working in partnership with our police officers.
