Message from Republic Services regarding garbage pickup this Friday, October 31st:
Since Halloween falls on a Friday this year and many towns will begin trick-or-treating as early as 2:00 PM, we will be adjusting driver start times by 30 to 60 minutes earlier, depending on the town’s schedule. Our goal is to have all trucks off the road and parked before trick-or-treating begins.
We anticipate children will be out in costume and in groups even before the official start time, likely distracted and not paying close attention to traffic. To ensure their safety and minimize risk, we are prioritizing early completion of service routes.
